本网消息，“捌壹媒体”第一、二版在GOOGLE和百度搜索中均已分别列为该关键字前两位。由此，即使在不知域名的情况下，只要在搜索引擎中输入“捌壹媒体”便可方便地找到本网。所附图像照排于2006年4月2日。

New Functions in the Members Area

Update: this is an article from the second version. Some of the functions are different now on the system.

Hi all,

We have added three major new functions in the members area. You will see them on the user-menu once you log in.

1. Besides submitting news articles, you can now write your own blog entries, promote them to the frontpage, and it will automatically be recorded in your personal profile.
2. Members can also send messages to each other quite conveniently.
3. A more integrated and community oriented contact list is now in place.

In addition, we have installed a newsletter system, with the hope that some of us will be able to compile their own newsletters and send them to everybody.

We are actually trying to register an account for everyone of our fellows (so long as your email address is in our list). We hope we can finish this quite soon, although tweaking the system and porting the posts in the old Space do take the most of our time now. Enjoy!

我们在这里设立了图片栏 (Photos)，希望大家能随时看到彼此。 我们在这里设立了留言栏 (Message Board)，以方便大家随时留下你的思想和行踪。 我们在这里设立了语言栏 (Language)，方便大家的洋朋友多少了解一下这个公共媒体。 我们在这里设立了友情链接 (Links)，希望大家将自己的网志或个人网站都连接在一起。 我们在这里设立了MY YAHOO, SUB-TO- BLOGLINES, ADD-TO-NEWSGATOR等链接；你可通过RSS聚合工具阅读，以期大家能随时随地了解这里的变化。

我们希望这个空间能成为大家交流的平台，真正起到一个媒体的作用。大家有何信息，也可在此发布。希望大家不介意在这里发布照片，当然我们会逐幅精选，必要时也会在不改变真实的前提下做适当润色。再过二十年，当我们回首往事……“彪悍的人生不需要解释”！
